The German soprano, Manja Stephan, received since early childhood musical training in In her hometown of Zwickau with the the Schwanenschloss Kinder- und Jugendchor and at the Robert Schumann Konservatorium of the city of Zwickau. Here she took lessons in violin and piano, and singing with Kerstin Wünsch. She later studied music education and history for teaching in secondary schools at the University of Leipzig, graduating in the summer of 2003 with successful 1st State exam. Since October 2003, she studied singing at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen. Here she studied with Professor Harry van der Kamp in the Department of Early Music and Susanne Schlegel in the Classical Singing Department.
Manja Stephan’s regular ensemble and choir activities, and solo work includes assisting with Cantus Thuringia Weimar under the direction of Professor Bernhard Klapprott, participation in Vokalensemble Köln under Max Ciolek, and the Thomasius Consort Leipzig. |
