The German soprano, Marni Schwonberg, followed her interest in Baroque music to Basel, where she attended the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland) to study singing with Evelyn Tubb. She then completed her studies with Ulrich Messthaler and Gerd Türk and participated in numerous projects and courses with Anthony Rooley and others. In addition, she attended master-classes with Jessica Cash, Ulf Bästlein and Charles Spencer.
Marni Schwonberg sings regularly at the FAMB-concerts and Anthony Rooley and Gerd Türk and is a member of many ensembles and orchestras, such as Cantus Firmus Solothurn. She often sings with the ensemble Le Cœr Passionné, and also has made CD recording with them.
Marni Schwonberg gained her first opera and stage experience at the Theater Scala in Basel in George Frideric Handel's opera Arianna, at Theater Basel with the Basler Opernklasse in La Checcina by Puccini, and the project "Vanitas" at the Gare du Nord. She also participated in radio recordings with them. |
