Among other things, she also had big successes in Bremen, in 1941 in Leipzig and after World War II in 1949 at Bachwoche Ansbach.
Martha Shilling was considered as great Bach interpreter, however she performed in the concert hall an extensive and very versatile repertoire. With her frequent appearances at German broadcasting stations she sang also opera arias, however no actual stage career unfolded. Their career came to ending in the 1950’s.
