The Italian baritone, Marco Scavazza, began his musical studies at an early age, completed his studies at the Conservatoire Statale di Musica "Francesco Venezze" in Rovigo, graduating French Horn, Lyric Singing and and attending the Keyboard Tuning and Repair Course. He then continued his musical deepening, obtaining, with the highest marks, the Diploma of Chamber Vocal Music under the guidance of Maestro Erik Battaglia with whom he continued the study of the Lieder repertoire. Immediately, he directed his musical and professional interest towards the study of the vocal and of the performance practice of early music.
Marco Scavazza collaborates on a continuous basis with renowned conductors engaged in the performance of the Renaissance and Baroque repertoire, including Filippo Maria Bressan, Kees Boeke, Giuseppe Maletto, Jordi Savall, Andrew Lawrence-King, Bettina Hoffman, Federico Maria Sardelli, Livio Picotti, Sergio Vartolo, Marco Longhini, Paolo Da Col, Gianluca Capuano, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and participate in the music productions of various associations, including Orchestra Regionale della Toscana, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Ensemble L'Homme Armè, Athesthis Chorus, Accademia dè li Musici, Orchestra Barocca del Friuli V. G. Giambattista Tiepolo (Orchestra Barocca 'G.B. Tiepolo'), The Harp Consort, La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Concerto Italiano (Director: Rinaldo Alessandrini). He is one of the founding members of the Consortium Carissimi musical association directed by Maestro Vittorio Zanon, engaged in the transcription, recording and dissemination of the musical production of the Roman School.
