The English soprano, Imogen Daisy Russell, studied at Blue Coat C of E School in Coventry (2006-2013). Since 2013, she studies Music at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) (expected graduation in 2017).
Imogen Russell sings in the Trinity College Choir of Cambridge under Stephen Layton. She sings with Polyphony (Director: Stephen Layton) and Illuminare professional choirs. She has sung soloist for the Holst Singers (Director: Stephen Layton), and The Choir of St John’s College Cambridge under Andrew Nethsingha. She was Head Chorister at Holy Trinity Church Coventry and was a member of the Coventry Blue Coat School Choir when it won the Songs of Praise Choir of the year in 2008.
Recent performances as Soprano soloist include Monteverdi Vespers, Pro Victoria, Tarney Magnificat -Trinity Singers, and soprano solos including W.A. Mozart, Haydn and Antonio Vivaldi with the Coventry Philharmonic Choir, soprano soloist for Haydn's Nelson Mass, and W.A. Mozart's Requiem with the choir of St Mary's Warwick. She played the role of Female chorus in the Benjamin Britten Opera, The Rape Of Lucretia in January 2017. Future Performances include J.S. Bach's St John Passion (BWV 245) with Polyphony. She currently lives in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. |
