The German tenor, Richard Resch, received his first musical education with the Regensburger Domspatzen. After graduation of Elementary Musical Education and Piano at Hochschule für Musik in Augsburg he studied Classical Singing with Agnes Habereder, Hans-Joachim Beyer, Edda Sevenich and Dominik Wortig at Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum of Augsburg University and Early Music and Ensemble Music at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel with Evelyn Tubb and Anthony Rooley. To complete his studies he attended master-classes with Margreet Honig, Regina Resnik, Rudolf Jansen, Michael Nagy, Rudolf Piernay, Udo Reinemann, Wolfram Rieger, Gerd Türk and oratorio classes with Hans-Jörg Albrecht und Frieder Bernius.
Richard Resch was awarded at several international Opera Competitions like „Concorso Internazionale di Canto Toti dal Monte“ in Treviso (2009), International Opera Competition "Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg" (2010), International Opera Competition of "Gut Immling". In December 2012, he was awarded by the city of Augsburg with its "arts award".
Richard Resch was working at several theaters as Theater Augsburg, Staatstheater Braunschweig and Landestheater Bregenz as well as at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. He worked with conductors as Claudio Astronio, Rolf Beck, Christoph Eschenbach, Christoph Hammer, Michel Laplénie, Helmuth Rilling, Morten Schuldt-Jensen and Andreas Spering as well as with many renowned musicians and orchestras e.g. with Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester, Bremer Philharmoniker, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Capella Istropolitana , Leipziger Kammerorchester, Neue Hofkapelle München, Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, Sinfonia Varsovia and SWR Radio-Sinfonieorchester.
Many concerts and broadcasts lead him throughout Europe for example to Konzerthaus in Berlin, Herkulessaal in Munich, Haakonshallen in Bergen, as well as to China und Japan. Richard Resch is working with Ensembles and Bach Festivals as: Immortal-Bach-Ensemble (Director: Morten Schuldt-Jensen), Chapelle de la Vigne (Director: Bernhard Schmidt), Luthers Bach Ensemble Groningen (Director: Tymen Jan Bronda) and Bachkantaten in Vorarlberg. |
