The German soprano, Jutta Potthoff, began her music studies with the speciality organ at the Musikhochschule in Münster. Subsequently, she completed her singing training at the Detmolder Musikakademie with Ingeborg Ruß und Hildegard Kronstein-Uhrmacher with the conclusion of Künstlerischen maturity examination. Master-classes with Ingrid Bjoner and Sena Jurinac supplemented her studies.
An extensive concert activity led Jutta Potthoff so far to important music centres in her homeland and abroad. In addition she has appeared in opera productions at the music festival of Aix-en-Provence or regular concerts, for example in the Berlin and Cologne Philharmonic Concert Halls. In the Arab Amman she sang in Haydn’s Schöpfung among other things before members of the Jordanian King house. Lieder recitals of most different topic form a further emphasis of her work.
The repertoire of Jutta Potthoff covers works of the Baroque, the Classical period, the Romantic and the Modern eras. Numerous broadcast and CD productions document her work.
For some years Jutta Potthoff is active as teacher for singing at Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Herford. |
