The German soprano, Johanna Pommranz, receiuved already as a child singing lessons with her mother and sang in various choirs. She won numerous federal, state and regional awards for "Jugend Musiziert" in singing and recorder in singles and solo ratings, last in 2012 the single 1st Federal prize for her age group. From February 2011 to June 2012, she was a young student in the professional recorder at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe. Since October 2012 she studied for Bachelor of Music degree in singing, and parallel music education in Stuttgart. She attended master-classes with Marcelo Amaral, Janina Bächle, Malcolm Walker, Thomas Seyboldt and Emma Kirkby.
Johanna Pommranz is in demand as a soloist in oratorios, chamber music and Lieder, among others in Johannes-Passion (BWV 245) and Cantata Jauchzet Gott (BWV 51) by J.S. Bach and Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4. As Baroque singer, she has performed, among others with Nazar Kozhukhar In 014 she won with her Baroque ensemble La Sérénité 3rd prize at the Carl-Wendling-Kammermusikwettbewerbs in Stuttgart. In the concert performances of the opera Rodrigo by George Frideric Handel in April 2015, she sang the lead role of Esilena under Jörg Halubek. In the closing concert of the Bachwoche Stuttgart 2015, she sang at the Stiftskirche Stuttgart in the Oster-Oratorium (BWV 249) by J.S. Bach under Hans-Christoph Rademann. |
