The Italian basas, Giacomo Pieracci, began studying the oboe at the age of 13 with Vincenzo D'Addabbo. Shortly afterwards he met Luigi Pagliarini and began practicing choral singing. In 2010 he began singing in the Coro Estense di Montecchio always under the direction of Luigi Pagliarini from whom he received his first singing lessons. In 2014 he enrolled in the singing course of the Istituto A. Peri in Reggio Emilia and studied with Professor Elena Bakanova. The pre-academic oboe course under the guidance of Professor Miriam Moretti ended in the 2015-2016 academic year. In the academic year 2015-2016 he studied singing under the guidance of Mario Luperi and currently with Maurizio Leoni in the course of Advanced Artistic and Musical Training of the Conservatorio.
Giacomo Pieracci is a member of the Coro Estense di Montecchio, Coro dell’associazione T.W. Adorno, Madrigalisti Estensi, Gli Allegri Penitenti, Ensemble Vocale Polifollia and Coro Guido Chigi Saracini della Cattedrale di Siena, as well as Coro dell’Accademia Chigiana directed by Lorenzo Donati, and until the year 2016 he was also member of the Coro della Cappella musicale del Duomo di Reggio Emilia, a selected vocal ensemble of 12 members, directed by Primo Iotti. He is officially member of the Coro Giovanile Italiano (Italian Youth Choir) for the 2017-2018 biennium, a choral formation consisting of 39 singers carefully selected with audition, from all over Italy, directed by Luigi Marzola and Carlo Pavese. Since May 2018, he is also a member of the Chamber Choir of Europe.
In 2015 he was director of the Coro LUC of the Libera Università il Crostolo di Reggio Emilia. With an ensemble created by the Istituto Musicale A. Peri he recorded the music for the short film La Sesta Notte with the music of Roberto Guarnieri and in the summer of 2017 he wrote the music for the short film Kanyamakan with the direction by Leda Bartolucci. He was a member of the Orchestra OSMIM holding the role of first oboe. He collaborated with the Orchestra da Camera di Imola as a second oboe under the direction of Valentino Corvino and with the Coro Città di Parma under the direction of Simone Campanini. He has been collaborating with the Orchestra Barocca e Coro Gli Invaghiti in Turin since 2013, curated by Fabio Furnari, covering the role of chorister, oboist and also the role of bass soloist on several occasions. Since 2015 he has studied conducting with Marco Boni and Baroque oboe under the guidance of Stefano Vezzani. Since December 2016 he has been director of the Adagio e Furioso chamber orchestra and directs the chamber orchestra of the A. Peri Institute. He currently lives in Reggio Nell Emilia. |
