With the launch of the Festival Choir, founded on October 1, 2015, the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra aimed a construction of a high-quality 40-strong choir with own sound culture, which would primarily participate at the baroque concerts of the orchestra.
The professional expectation of the artistic leaders László Dobos and András Vass is endeavour of stylish sounding of the Baroque and Viennese classical repertoire, which prevails in the pronunciation, in the articulation, in the layouts of the music and in the sound alike. The ensemble, whose acapella and orchestral debut was in December 2015, proved at its first two gigs already that the high professional standards meet the needs of the candidates. The Festival Choir, which is a new colour on Pécs’s choir palette, enjoys great popularity among the singers, making them to perform at all three concerts of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra's Musica Sacra series in the 2016-2017 season. |
