The German conductor, organist and harpsichordist, Christoph Anselm Noll, studied catholic church music (A-exam 1981), organ (with Professor Dr. Rudolf Ewerhart, artistic maturity examination 1984), harpsichord (with Professor Hugo Ruf, concert examination 1989) and oboe (with Professor H. Hucke) at the Musikhochschule Köln. After further organ studies with Professor Dr. Ludger Lohmann, he moved to Staatl. Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, which he finished in 1988 with solo diploma. He participated in master-classes with M. Radulescu, L. F. Tagliavini, Guy Bovet, H. Vogel and others. Numerous national and international competition successes justified his soloist career as organist and harpsichordist.
Since 1981 Christoph Anselm Noll was active as Kantor, organist and choir director at St. Stephan, Andernach. In 1994 he gave up this post in favour of freelance activity. He has concentrated in his homeland and abroad, both as soloist and and with renowned ensembles for early music (including Musica Fiata, Concerto Köln, Collegium Cartusianum, Cantus Cölln). In addition, he has taken part in in numerous recordings for for broadcast and CD's.
In addition Christoph Anselm Noll also appears inceasenigly in the last years also increased as a conductor of the ensembles Capella pura and Florilegium musicum. Apart from his artistic activities he taught from 1987 to 1997 at Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, was appointed in the winter semester of 1995-1996 as guest lecturer at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart and since 1991 he teaches organ and general bass at the Musikhochschule Detmold. |
