"Stephen Ng has a silky quality to his voice . . . ….while in his solos and duets he demonstrated ample flexibility. Ng also showed an admirable ability to maneuver between the languid sentiments of the "Chanson pour Léandre," ……, and the more jaunty strains of the "Chanson” from Act 2, scene 16, in which the lunatics celebrate the warden’s departure". San Francisco Classical Voice
…a superb Evangelist or narrator in tenor Stephen Ng whose pure, high voice gave light and focus to the unfolding Christ story; his German, one should add, was flawless". Herald-Times, Bloomington, Indiana
"All of the various arias and choral passages were linked together by the Evangelist, sung by Stephen Ng. This demanding role was met with brilliance and vitality; (he) kept the oratorio moving with consistent enthusiasm." Bloomington Independent, Indiana |
