The Italian mezzo-soprano, Lucia Napoli, graduated in violin and singing with honours from the Conservatories “Francesco Morlacchi” of Perugia and “Giovanni Battista Pergolesi” of Fermo. Interested in Baroque and chamber music vocal repertoire she attended several specialisation courses at the Accademia Toscanini of Parma and with distinguished artists like Sara Mingardo, Michael Aspinall, Gioacchino Zarrelli, Dalton Baldwin, Lella Cuberli and Gloria Banditelli.
The winner of many international singing competitions like “Concorso di Musica Antica F. Provenzale” in Napoli and “Concours Intornational de Chant de Clermont-Ferrand”, Lucia Napoli is now an appreciated performer of Baroque repertoire and she sings in the most important European, Asian and American festivals; Yokohama Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Teatro “La Fenice”, Resonanzen Vienna, AMUZ Antwerpen, Barocktage Stift Melk, Musikfest Bremen, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Festival dei Due Mondi of Spoleto, MITO Settembre Musica, Ravenna Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, White Light Festival Lincoln Center New York, Bachakademie Stuttgart, Amici della Musica di Padova, Festival Delle Crete Senesi, etc.
Lucia Napoli is now an appreciated performer of Baroque repertoire. She collaborated with famous international conductors like Sigiswald Kuijken, Gustav Leonhardt, Riccardo Muti, Giulio Prandi, Massimo Mazzeo, Matteo Messori, Michael Radulescu, Christopher Hogwood, Claudio Cavina, Kay Johannsen, Paul Dombrecht, Pál Németh, Alessandro Quarta, Francesco Cera, Fabio Bonizzoni, Walter Testolin, Stephan Kofler, Sergio Balestracci, Philippe Herreweghe, Kaspar Putnis, Frans Brüggen, Edo de Waart, Jos van Immerseel, Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, etc. She is the soloist of the most famous Italian and European early music ensembles like La Petite Bande (Director: Sigiswald Kuijken), Ensemble Arte Musica, Cappella Augustana, Concerto Romano, La Risonanza, De Labyrintho, RossoPorpora and Orquestra Divino Sospiro.
