The American bass, Cody Muller [Müller], obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Vocal Performance · Music Performance from the Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee (Class of 2014). He courrently studies with Jan Opalach for his Master of Music degree in in Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music in Rochester (2014-2016). He was recently Young Artist of Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point in Eureka Springs, Arkansas (May-July 2015).
Cody Muller is a versatile performer seen on both the operatic and concert stages. He has performed with the Eastman Repertory Singers in L.v. Beethoven's Mass in C and Felix Mendelssohn's Magnificat this past season. He was also seen as the bass soloist for multiple J.S. Bach's Cantatas with both the Eastman School of Music and Third Presbyterian Church Rochester.
Cody Muller's operatic credits include both international and domestic engagements most recently with Eastman Opera Theatre as Dr. Gibbs in their production of Our Town by Ned Rorem. In the summer of 2014, he made his international debut with the Toronto Summer Opera Workshop as Don Alfonso in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte. Additional roles include Martino in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro, Keçal in Smetana's The Bartered Bride, and the tile role in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro all with Belmont Opera Theatre. In the summer of 2015, he was engaged with Opera in the Ozarks for their 65th season where he could be seen as Don Magnifico in Rossini's La Cenerentola and Crespel in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann. He will also continue his work in Canada with the ViVace program in Vancouver as Leporello in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni. |
