The American lyric soprano, Dominique McCormick, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York; her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, and Performer's Certificate from Aaron Copland School of Music - CUNY. In France, in 2007 she won first prize in Musical Analysis, unanimous felicitations from the jury. In parallel she received a certificate in Perfectionnement in Voice at the Conservatoire National de Région Boulogne-Billancourt.; and her Musical Analysis Diploma in Voice and Opera and Musical Analysis from the Conservatoire National de Région Boulogne-Billancourt in France. Since January 2014, she is Doctoral student in music and GC Fellow at The City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center, completing her doctoral dissertation in music.

Lehar's The Land of Smiles; Josephine in HMS Pinafore (NY Gilbert and Sullivan Players); Elsie Maynard in Yeomen of the Guard; Lauretta in G. Dominique McCormick has worked as Assistant Music Director at American Cathedral in Paris (June 2011-August 2013; Solfege/ lessons, conducted children's choir and youth choir, as well as replacement conductor for the director when needed); Chef technique Vocale (Voice teacher) at Choeur Vittoria d'ile de France (October 2011-June 2015; taught voice class and individual coachings and technique sessions); Voice Faculty at Vivaldi Music Academy in Houston, Texas (Sepember 2015-August 2016); Staff singer at The Church of St. John the Divine in Houston, Texas (since August 2016). She has recently newly relocated to the Houston area and is overjoyed to be performing with Ars Lyrica Houston (Director: Matthew Dirst). Since May 2017, she is Executive Artistic Director and Co Founder of Century Fine Arts in Sugar Land, Texas, a Music and Fine arts School for students of all ages and abilities. |
