The German bass, Oliver Luhn, studied from 1990 to 1995 singing and singing education with Professor Hans-Joachim Beyer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, and graduated with a diploma as a singer and singing teacher. He completed several master-classes (Jakob Stämpfli, Horst Günther) and studied also acting with Rosemarie Deibel.
Since the season 1995, Oliver Luhn is engaged as 2nd bass in opera chorus of the Deutschen Nationaltheater (DNT) in Weimar, where he repeatedly accepts small and medium solos. So he was, inter alia, as Hunters in Wilhelm Tell, Sciarrone in Tosca, Farmer in Pagliacci. Tax Collector in La Bohème, Gustavsson in Pettersson und Findus und der Hahn im Korb, etc. He also played the Robert in the production "Veronika der Lenz ist da – Die Comedian Harmonists". From 1998 to 2012, he was on the board of the DNT and has completed numerous, highly successful guest performances. In addition, he is active a soloist in the concert area. Among other things, he worked at the successful with "Comedian Harmonists" in several productions (Weimar, Rostock). At the Freilichtspielen Schwäbisch Hall, he worked as Biberti in succession piece "Jetzt oder nie- Comedian Harmonists II"." He sings regularly with several folk ensembles. He also acts as spokesman and works as a newscaster.
Since 2009 Oliver Luhn IS Lecturer of Singing at the Department of Music Education and Church Music at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar. |
