The Belgian choral conductor, Thierry Lequenne, trained in choral and orchestral conducting with Bernard Tétu (France), Guy Van Waas (Belgium), Frieder Bernius (Germany).
Thierry Lequenne is a founding member of the Choeur de Chambre de Namur. He has worked under the direction of Leonardo García-Alarcón, Guy Van Waas, Jean Tubéry, Pierre Cao, Philippe Herreweghe, Paul Dombrecht, Sigiswald Kuijken, Frieder Bernius, Jean-Claude Malgoire and Marc Minkowski. He has been chorus master of the Choeur Symphonique de Namur partner of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège (Conductor: Louis Langrée). He founded the Choeur de Chambre Ishango in 2012 and was its director until May 2014. He gave the premiere of Pierre Bartholomé’s Le Christ aux Oliviers with Choeur de Chambre Ishango and Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles.
