The Belgian tenor and conductor, Thibaut Lenaerts, studied with Greta de Reyghere at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège and with Thierry Migliorini at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons, and won first prizes in both institutes.
After his studies, Thibaut Lenaerts began his career in Europe and sang as a soloist under the direction of William Christie (Les Arts Florissants), Hervé Niquet (Le Concert Spirituel) but also at home under the direction of Guy Van Waas (Les Agrémens), Louis Langré (Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège), Jean Tubéry (La Fenice) and Patrick Davin (Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie). Appreciated as a concert performer and recitalist, he can also be found on opera stages such as Brussels - La Monnaie, Liège, Rennes, Avignon, Reims, Versailles under the direction of Christophe Rousset among others. With Les Arts Florissants of which he ios a member, he has sung all over the world, including Rio, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Istanbul, ... He has worked with stage directors such as Robert Carsen, Frédéric Dussenne, Luc Bondy, José Montalvo, Déborah Warner, ... He has participated in about thirty CD's and directs his own vocal and instrumental ensemble: Le Petit Sablon.
Thibaut Lenaerts teaches at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and Conservatoire Royal de Liège. He currently lives in Brussels, Belgium. |
