The German soprano, Birte Kulawik, had her first violin lessons from the age of 7. She completed her studies in singing with Elisabeth Wilke, and in violin and Baroque violin, at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden In different master-classes she perfected her training, among them with Barbara Schlick, Jessica Cash and Semjon Skigin.
