The Swidd tenor, Tobias König, after completing the compulsory school, trained as a primary and secondary school teacher at the State Seminar in Spiez. In 2004 he was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik in Bern, where he was initially taught by Marianne Kohler, later he took singing lessons with Hans Peter Blochwitz.
Tobias König has sung with Capriccio Basel, Oratorienchor Bern, Arsis-Chor, Konzertchor Burgdorf and the Ensemble Orlando Fribourg. In addition to the concert field, he also performs reglarly as a Lieder singer.
Tobias König is a much sought-after ensemble singer: he is a member of CapellAntiquA (Director: Bernhard Pfammatter) and Ensemble Orlando Fribourg (Director: Laurent Gendre). He also sings for the Ensemble Corund (Director: Stephen Smith). Various CD recordings with the groups mentioned testify to his quality as a singer.
Tobias König works and lives in Zweisimmen. In addition to his profession as a singer, he also works as a voice teacher. |
