The German tenor, André Khamasmie, studied with Professor Kammersänger Rudolf Riemer in Leipzig. He gathered further impulses with Graham Johnson, Professor Svein Bjørkøy, Professor Ingrid Figur, Piotr Bednarski and Andreas Talarowski.
With his moving performances and his elegant tenor voice, André Khamasmie has already acquired excellent reputation and credit far beyond the borders of Germany and is one of the demanded tenors in his singing repertoire. His immense bandwith span the great concert music, the famous passions and oratorios of the sacred music. He is a constant and well appreciated guest on national and international concert-stages. He has sung with renowned conductors like Howard Arman, Georg Christoph Biller, Herbert Blomstedt, Professor Hartmut Haenchen, Fabio Luisi, Jun Märkl, Kurt Masur, Sir Roger Norrington, or Mario Venzago.
Besides the oratorio works of J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, etc. André Khamasmie is well-known for his moving performances and brilliant elegant voice in romantic concert-music. Lately he achieved high praise and reputation for his performances of extremely exposed and challenging pieces (Carmina burana, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Frank Martin’s In terra an etc.).
André Khamasmie has also sung at several opera-houses like the opera Leipzig. in roles like Tamino in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Ferrando in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte. An additional passion connects him to the singing of Lieder.
André Khamasmie's engagements have brought him to Italy, France, the UK, Austria, Belgium, Monaco, Finland or Poland, where he participated in several CD-, broadcast- and TV-productions. |
