The German conductor, organist and harpsichordist, Felix Ketterer, received at the age of five first piano lessons, and from age 13 organ lessons. From 1991 he had first organ services in the Pfarrei St. Barbara Freiburg-Littenweiler. In 1993-1996 he was a member of the Freiburger Domchor, and in 1995-1996 member of the Kirchenchor St. Laurentius Hofsgrund and the Singkreis Stohren Münstertal.
From 1995 to 1996 Felix Ketterer was organist at St. Laurentius, Hofsgrund und Maria Krönung, Oberried. From 1996 to 1998 he was a member of the MGV "Schwarzwald" Oberried. From July 1996 organist of St. St. Gallus Kirchzarten, also director of head of the Männerschola as well as a member of the Pfarrgemeinderates.
In 1997 Felix Ketterer graduated from the Kolleg St. Sebastian Stegen with music conductor course. In 1997-1998 he was a member of the Luftwaffenmusikkorps 2 Karlsruhe as organist, harpsichordist and singer in during his military service. In 1999-2000 he studied church music at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (organ with Bernhard Haas, Axel Becker and Wilibald Bezler). From 2001 he studied of early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland), organ with Jean-Claude Zehnder, improvisation with Rudolf Lutz at, and singing with Sebastian Goll.
In 2003 Felix Ketterer became choir-master of the Katholischer Kirchenchor St. Sixtus Offenburg / Zunsweier. From 2003 to 2007 he was choir-master and organist at the Bruder Klaus, Gundelfingen, also head of the Frauenschola, the children's choir (from Winter 2005) and teacher of singing, vocal, organ and piano. Since 2004 he is first international member of the Clifton Music Company Cincinnati, Ohio (USA). In 2005 he received his Diploma of Early Music Diploma with organ as major subject (total predicate "very good") at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. By 2006 he continued his studies in improvisation with Rudolf Lutz at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
From 2006, Felix Ketterer is founder and director of the Madrigalchor "Membra". From 2007 he is head of the singing club Offenburg / Zell - Weierbach and the mixed choir "Happy Soul" in Offenburg / Zell - Weierbach. From 2008 he is organist at the Seelsorgeeinheit Offenburg-East.
Felix Ketterer collaborates on the project with the Basler Vokalsolisten. He attended organ master-classes for interpretation and improvisation with Michael Harris, Jean-Paul Imbert, Neithard Bethke and Günther Kaunzinger. He has concert activity at home and abroad, including as a lecturer at the Volkshochschule Dreisamtal. He works as organist, singer and conductor for concerts, weddings, baptisms and funerals throughout Südbaden Area and Switzerland. |
