The Kantorei der Karlshöhe was founded in 1971 by Siegfried Bauer. About 90 singers from Ludwigsburg and its region (up to Stuttgart!) form an oratorio chorus that is one of the most powerful in the region. Since early 2002, the Choir is directed by Tom Horn (full-time District Kantor of Besigheim).
The Choir takes part in the community life of the Church of Karlshöhe by performing the musical part of worship. The Choir perrforms the cantata worship at the annual festival of Diakoniewerk Karlshöhe. An equally important task of the Choir is the high-caliber performances of demanding church music works of old and modern masters. These are mainly performed at the Friedenskirche Ludwigsburg, sometimes at the Forum Ludwigsburg and churches in the region and during the annual choir tour.
