The Ensemble Iméro, created in 2008 by Anass Ismat, brings together amateur singers from the Lyon region in a small formation of around thirty choristers, sometimes accompanied by soloists and instrumentalists. Maud Bessard-Morandas took over as director in April 2016.
The aim of the Ensemble Iméro is to explore the repertoire through time and space, from Antonio Vivaldi to Charles Gounod, from Dvorak to Purcell, including ... Jazz! Since 2010, Ensemble Iméro has been experiencing a "Europe à double chœur" between Lyon and the German region of the Palatinate, through regular exchanges with Ensemble 98, a German vocal ensemble conducted by Alexander Burda.
Finally, the Ensemble Iméro is a group of friends united by the desire to live a human adventure in the service of ever more enriching artistic projects. Beyond the musical work, the choir thus wishes to provide the public with an emotion carried by the connivance and complicity of a homogeneous ensemble. |
