The Dutch bass-baritone, Wessel van der Ham, started classical singing in 2017 in a choir under Enrique López-Cortón. He took singing lessons with Robert van der Vinne and started at the Utrechts Conservatorium in 2020 where he studied Classical Singing for a year with Dobrinka Yankova. In 2021 he went to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam to study with Xenia Meijer. Here he currently focuses on Early Music and has participated in master-classes and coachings with Dame Emma Kirkby, Charles Daniels, Tobias Berndt, Claron McFadden, Adrián Rodríguez van der Spoel, and Margreet Honig, among others.
Wessel van Ham is regularly asked to perform as a soloist, ensemble and choir singer in churches and concert halls throughout the Netherlands. He is a permanent member of the [H]éros ensemble, and founded the Elicho ensemble in 2024. |
