The Bachchor Gütersloh was created over sixty years ago by community of singers, in order to perform music with joy, artistic quality, awareness to tradition and conscious innovation. The choir performs church music and gives concerts of a-cappella works and oratorios. From 1957 to 1991 the choir was directed by Hermann Kreutz.
Besides three CD recordings of works by J.S. Bach, Benjamin Britten, C.A. Cartellieri, Zoltán Kodály, Paul Hindemith and Igor Stravinsky, the Bachchor Gütersloh has made over 40 recordings for German radio stations. |
