Harry Geraerts (Tenor) |
Born: August 22, 1945 - Utrecht, the Netherlands |
The Dutch tenor, Harry Geraerts, studied voice with Max van Egmond in Amsterdam and has developed into an international esteemed specialist in the music of the Renaissance and the Baroque.
Harry Geraerts’ repertoire includes the major oratorios, the Baroque opera, and the lied genre, as represented by his recent recordings of Schubert's Winterreise together with the piano-forte specialist Ludger Rémy. Gerearts frequently sings with a whole range of European Baroque ensembles (such as Musicalische Compagney Berlin) and performs as a guest at numerous festivals of early music. He regularly offers master-classes at the University of Michigan in the USA.
Harry Geraerts is living permanently in the South of France (Gers) since 2003. He is now retired. He sings with vocal ensemble Capella Auscitensis in Auch. He also performs in Auch-Cathedrale with the organiste-titulaire Anton Stiller. |
