The Swedish choral conductor and organist, Stefan Fred, studied flute at KMH - Kungl. Musikhögskolan (1982-1987); Baroque interpretation at Musikhögskolan in Malmö (1990-1992); Church Music at KMH - Kungl. Musikhögskolan in Stockholm (1990-1994); and obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Solo Organ with Professor Hans-Ola Ericsson from Luleå Tekniska Universitet (2007-2012).
Stefan Fred has been Chamber Musician in Svenska Barockorkestern (1992-2010); Music Director/Organist at Abrahamsbergskyrkan (August 1992-August 1994); Member of Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble (1994-2006); Music Director/Organist at Botkyrka församling (August 1994-December 2000); Member of Swedish Radio Choir (1996-2006); Singer in Eric Ericson Chamber Choir (1996-2014); Pianist at Uppsala University (2000-2010); Music Director/Organist at Västermalms församling (January 2001-May 2018); Lecturer of Choral Conducting at Diocese of Stockholm (2006-2012); Teacher of Choral Singing at Nordiska Musikgymnasiet (2008-2011); Conductor of Folkoperan (August 2013-August 2014); Music Director/Organist at S:t Olofs församling (since May 2018); Organist/Harpsichordist in Norrköpings Symfoniorkester (May 2019-January 2022); Organist/Music Director at The Church of Sweden (Svenska kyrkan) in Norrköping (since 1992). |
