The American bass-baritone and voice teacher, Horace English, holds degrees from Shorter College and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds the Doctor of Music degree in performance from Florida State University.
Horace English enjoys an active career in opera, oratorio and solo recital. Notable opera roles include Blitch in Susannah, Mephistopheles in Charles Gounod's Faust, and Sparafucile in Rigoletto. He has also starred in musical theater, in the title roles of Sweeney Todd and Man of La Mancha.
Horace English is a professor of music on the voice faulty at Centenary College’s Hurley School of Music in Louisiana. He is also a private voice coach. |
