The American mezzo-soprano, flautist and choral conductor, Kathryn Davidson, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education (2015-2020) and her Bachelor of Music degree (2015-2020) in Flute Performance from the University of North Texas (UNT). She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music (since 2022).
In her time at UNT, Kathryn Davidson was a featured vocal and flute soloist in multiple works, including national and international premieres. While in Dallas, she engaged with the Dallas Choral Festival, Highland Park Chorale, and Christ the King Singers. In church music, she has served in Catholic, Methodist, and Episcopal churches as a staff singer and conductor. She has been Alto at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas (September 2017-June 2021); Music Teacher at Great Hearts Academies (2020-2022); Alto at Saint Michael And All Angels Episcopal Church (2021-2022); Associate Instructor at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (since 2022); Choir Director at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Indiana (since 2022). In her free time, she enjoys hiking, studying German, and cooking. She currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana. |
