The Uruguayan counter-tenor, Maximilliano Danta, began his singing studies with Beatriz Pazos, in parallel he studied other early instruments such as the cornett with Gustavo Gargiulo. Since 2017 he resides in Torino, Italy. Currently he continues his vocal training under the guidance of Roberto Balconi and Jean Tubéry as regards the cornett. As a singer he has participated in master-classes held by Jordi Savall, Gabriel Garrido, Barbara Fink, Furio Zanasi, Rosa Domínguez, Claire Lefilliâtre, Carlo Vistoli, Emanuela Galli and José Lemos.
Maximilliano Danta took part in several festivals: XII Festival di San Ignacio de Loyola (Argentina), X Festival Internazionale di Musica Rinascimentale e Barocca Americano (Bolivia), Festival Internazionale di Musica Sacra (Quito - Ecuador), Festival Internazionale di Musica Coloniale di S. Maria de las Conchas (Argentina), Marchesato Opera Festival di Saluzzo, MiTo, Recontres Baroques du Montfrin. He played Cupid in John Blow's Venus & Adonis, the role of the Witch in Henry Purcell's Dido & Aenea, Shepherd, Messenger and Hope in Claudio Monteverdi's Orfeo and Messenger in Domenico Zipoli's San Ignacio di Loyola. His repertoire also includes sacred works including M.A. Charpentier's Te Deum, Alessandro Scarlatti's Stabat Mater and Dixit Dominus, Antonio Vivaldi's Stabat Mater and Gloria. In 2018, he joined the Accademia e del Consort Maghini, with the roles of chorister and soloist, in recent editions of the Back TO Bach Fesival he has performed several prestigious projects including J.S. Bach's
Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248 and Johannes-Passion BWV 245. |
