The Spanish tenor, Francisco Rodríguez (Fran R.) Braojos, passed the selection tests at the age of 10 and entered the Escolanía del Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo del Escorial, where he received a scholarship and went on to reside in the Monasterio. He very soon he stood out as a soloist participating in numerous recordings with this institution. He continued his studies at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid. Among his teachers are Miguel Bernal, Virginia Prieto, Enrique Sanchez (Singing), Miguel Huertas, and Javier Carmena (Repertoire).
Francisco Rodríguez Braojos has specialized in early music, and is formed in this repertoire singing from medieval music to Baroque and Classicism. He has worked with directors and trainers such as Jordi Savall, Manuel Coves, Josep Pons, Jordi Casas, Peter Phillips, LLuis Villamajó and Richard Levitt. As a soloist, he has performed at the Auditorio Nacional, Fundación Juan March and the Teatro Real. He currently works with early music groups (La Capilla Real de Madrid (Director: Óscar Gershensohn), La Capella Reial de Catalunya (Director: Jordi Savall), Coro Victoria, Los Afectos Diversos ...) and collaborates with professional groups such as the Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, Coro de RTVE or Coro de Cámara del Palau, among many others. He currently lives in Madrid, Spain. |
