The Canadian soprano, Anne-Marie Beaudette, receiveD her operatic training in Montreal, where she played several roles with the Jeune opéra du Québec, Atelier d’Opéra de l’Université de Montréal, Opéra Bouffe du Québec and Les Productions Belle Lurette. After she won 1st place at the Concours de Musique du Canada in 2006, she enrolled in 2009 at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, where she perfected for two years under the direction of Olivier Schneebeli with whom she made her debut in the opera Amadis by Lully (Shepherdess and Follower).
In the 2010-2011 season, Anne-Marie Beaudette collaborated with Les Différens under the direction of Martin Robidoux at the Festival International d’Orford in Canada and the Chapelle Royale du Château de Versailles, with the Ensemble Pierre Robert under the direction of Frédéric Desenclos, with Poème Harmonique in Cadmus et Hermione by Lully under the direction of Vincent Dumestre and with Les Paladins under the direction of Jérôme Corréas. She can be heard regularly with Ensemble Pygmalion under the direction of Raphaël Pichon and with the Musiciens du Paradis.
On stage Anne-Marie Beaudette has performed the Elder Sister in Cendrillon, and Laruette and Anseaume with the ensemble Les Monts du Rueil, at the Opéra Comique, Festival de Musique Baroque de Pontoise and Opéra de Reims. She was also Musique in Les Plaisirs de Versailles by Marc-Antoine Charpentier and Marphise in Le Pouvoir de l’amour by Royer at Théâtre Montansier de Versailles. This year (2014), she performed ,among others, with the Concert des Planètes, Camerata Vocale de Brive, Musiciens du Paradis, Ensemble La Rêveuse and Ensemble Pygmalion. She currently lives in Versailles, France. |
