The Amadeus Ensemble Bonn was founded in 1987 by the violinist Robert Ransburg (Beethoven Orchester Bonn) The preference for Mozart's music and the sympathy for the profound humor were named godfather Musician of the Beethoven Orchester Bonn form the hard core of the ensemble, which is often enhanced by neighboring colleagues orchestra.

On behalf of "Amnesty International", they produced in 1992 a CD as part of the now very successful series “Klassik für Menschenrechte” (Classic for human rights). It is the first of this series and has already sold 14,500 copies. In 1994 the ensemble played with a choir of disabled people from Japan, L.v. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, broadcast live by ZDF..At the award ceremony of the "Deutschen Krebshilfe" (German Cancer Aid) the ensemble is responsible for the design of the musical framework since 2009. Since 2008, the ensemble has a particularly close collaboration with the choir and the orchestra of the Kreuzkirche Bonn. Amadeus members attend rehearsals in different groups of Kreuzkichen-Orchester and then play with them in the performances. |
