Gottlob August Zwicker was born the son of Johann Christoph Zwicker (gate clerk in Leipzig). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on June 18, 1733; and studied there from 1733 to 1738. He died as an alumnus. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. |
