James Walker, a musician best known as a pianist in the realm of recital and chamber music, was also an active composer since his earliest years. The music ranges widely, covering most genres, certainly much instrumental, vocal and piano music. There are some major works for soloists with chorus and orchestra, a one-act opera, and many scores for plays performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. In addition to works already published, there are many that are now made available by The Brooklands Press in attractive yet modestly priced editions that may appeal to instrumentalists, pianists and singers, both solo and in ensemble. |
