Carl Friedrich Vogel enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on October 9, 1719; studied there from 1719 to 1725; and at Universität Leipzig in 1724 and from 1726. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him.
