Wilhelm Eusebius Suppius was born to Johann Jacob Suppe (Pastor in Naundorf). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on (December 2, 1727; and studied there from 1727 to 1733; and at school in Magdeburg. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. J.S. Bach reported (August 23, 1730): “not yet ready to be used in the 1st choir (figural music)”. He died as choir prefect at Merseburger Gymnasiums. |
