Johann Christian Stolle was born the son of Johann Heinrich Stolle (baker in Johanngeorgenstadt). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on May 7, 1733; studied there from 1733 to 1737. He died as an alumnus. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. |
