Johann Michael August Müller was born the son of Christian Günther Müller (Pastor in Kyhna). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on June 4, 1746; studied there from 1746 to 1754; and at Universität Leipzig from 1754. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. After his studies, he worked as private teacher in Dresden from 1760; Deacon in Schleusingen from 1767; Pastor in Frauenwald from 1772. |
