Gottlob Samuel Meiner enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on June 2, 1724; studied there in 1724 (1722)1; to 1729?; and at Universität Wittenberg from 1729. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him.
