The English pianist and teacher, Vivian Langrish, studied with W.E. Fowler and Tobias Matthay.
Vivian Langrish was Fellow Professor and Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and member of staff of Tobias Matthay Pianoforte Scool for over 25 years. He was also solo pianist, lecturer, adjudicator and examiner. He toured South Africa and other countries in these capacities. With Egerton Tidmarsh he gave first performances in England. He gave concerto performances with Sir Henry J. Wood, Sir Adrian Boult, etc. He published arrangements for 2 Pianos.
Vivian Langrish was married with Helen Cavell (3 sons) and Ruth Harte (1 son). Hobbies: architecture; philately. |
