Christian August Kunze was born the son of Christian Kunze (lawyer in Leisnig). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on November 17, 1744; studied there from 1744 to 1751; and at Universität Leipzig from 1751. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. |
