Friedlieb König was born the son of Immanuel König (organist and teacher in Delitzsch). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on December 11, 1733; studied there from 1733; and at Universität Leipzig from 1740. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. |
