Gottlob Ernst Hausius (1713) had been an “Externus” since 1727, before delivering his application to enroll at the Thomasschule in Leipzig in 1729. J.S. Bach reported (May 1729): “not demonstrating abilities in music”. He was not accepted as Thomaner. Most probably he was not J.S. Bach's pupil.
