Michael Heinrich Glandenberg was born the son of Michael Heinrich Glandenberg (apprentice city whistle in Leipzig). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on June 2, 1734; studied there from 1734 to 1740, since March 22, 1734 already as external; and at Universität Leipzig from 1740. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. After huis studies, he worked as teacher of French and Italian in Gotha; teacher of French and Italian at Gymnasium in Altenburg from 1759. |
