Christoph Fritzsch was born the son of Georg Christoph Fritzsch in Altranstädt. He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on August 6, 1737; and studied there from 1737 to 1744. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. |
