Joachim Christian Feller was born to Joachim Friedrich Feller (Court Secretary in Weimar). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on September 26, 1729 and studied there from 1729 to 1733. He died as an alumne. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. J.S. Bach reported (1730): “incompetent, not at all musical”. |
