Johann Rudolf Buddensieg was born the son of Johann Rudolf Buddensieg (Pastor in Döbernitz). He enrolled at the Thomasschule in Leipzig on April 25, 1736; studied there from 1736 to 1744; and at Universität Leipzig, obtaining his Magister degree in 1748. Although he attended the Thomasschule during J.S. Bach's tenure, it is not known if he actually studied with him. After ordination in Leipzig in 1754, he became Pastor in Sundhausen in 1754. |
