The Chinese tenor tenor/counter-tenor, You Zuo, studied with Éva Marton at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, where since 2014 he has been studying for a master's degree. In 2011, he won first place in the Chinese National Singing Competition and won the Kongque Award.
In 2013, You Zuo performed the tenor solo of Bruckner's Te Deum at St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest and the same year at the gala opening ceremony of the Music Academy. His repertoire includes parts in Franz Liszt: O lieb; W.A. Mozart: Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, Die Zauberflöte; G. Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore, La favorita; J. Massenet: Werther; G. Puccini: La bohème. He is a member of WDR Rundfunkchor Köln ((Director: Stefan Parkman; since July 2018) and currently lives in Cologne, Germany. |
